mirrors

How difficult is it supposed to be to fold the M3 mirrors by hand? I just bought a pair of used OEM M3 mirrors for my car and for the life of me can't fold them in. If I try any harder I feel I'll break them. Could they possibly be power folding?

Modify them to power folding. I can do that for you. Just let me know if you're interested.

Cayne23 is right. Pop off the mirror trim. Peel back the foam and you'll see the 3 torque screws. I believe they are T15 or T20, that's an off the top of my head guess could be wrong.

Just to clarify I don't have factory OEM mirrors assembly's. However I can turn your OEM mirrors into power folding mirrors if you're interested.

Hi
Do all the E46 M3 mirrors fold? If so can someone post a photo to show the angle?
Thanks

Yes they do, US market has manual folding mirrors. Mine were a little tough to fold manually, until I converted mine into power folding. Here's the picture

Complete dismantling of the mirror housing, rebuilding with electric motors and wiring the motor into the factory wiring harness. OEM BMW replacement mirror controls.
