I'm in QLD and thinking of buying an M3 in NSW and need some advice.
Is the CarFacts report you can buy through carsales.com.au all I need to check the Written off Status, Finance owing, Stolen vehicle, etc, for NSW or are there better reports available?
Where would be the best place to get them to take it to get a PPI, they are about 30km North West of Sydney CBD?
Whats involved in transferring the rego over from NSW to QLD?
Thanks, from what I can tell (and from their website) the CarFacts report includes the REVS check (or apparently PPSR now):
"REVS, which stands for the Register of Encumbered Vehicles, is no longer available and has been replaced by the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR).
PPSR allows Australians to check whether the goods they are buying have a security interest over them - such as cars, bikes, boats or machinery"
Car facts report is what you'll need. For the PPI, about 30km northwest of the CBD would be about Hornsby way. If so, I used to take my cars to Bee Ems, that was in Hornsby itself. They know their shlt so all good. Good luck mate!
Be mindful the NSW rego $$$ gets refunded to the seller, good negotiation for interstate buys
