October 19th 2010 update.
Lots of DIYing and modifications and the car still surprisingly looks stock.
Car is approaching the 60,000 mile mark on the odometer.
For this year I added: OEM Alarm coded with ALL the E46 Convenience Options turned on, Heated 2006 X3 steering wheel (removed), Automatic Windshield Washing Function, Sports Mode function Button (removed), Integrated BMW SiriusXM Sat radio, Voice Command Bluetooth and BMW SOS Assist, the OEM E46 sedan rear electric sunshade, USA-Spec PA12 iPod Data and AUX in for the CD53 (removed), the E60 LCI DCT Electronic Shifter (removed), M3 Trunk Lid Tails, M3 Shift Paddles SMG Tri-Color Stitching Steering Wheel, 16:9 CD Navigation MK4 BM53 system with Intravee 2 iPod Data,OEM SiriusXM for Nav, OEM Aux-In and Voice Command Bluetooth Integrated.
Major Repairs or Maintenance consisted of: Engine Belts and All the Belt System Pulleys as well as Water Pump Pulley, Cabin Filter, Intake Elbow hose replacement, Engine splash panel replacement, PassSide Rear Door Window Regulator.
I almost did but didn't do: Upgrade the rims to E90 Style #284, Coolant system overhaul, Water Pump Upgrade, Valve cover gaskets and seals, upgrade to full heated lumbar power sports seats, and upgrade to ContiExtreme DWS Tires-stalled on getting tires because I am still undecided with what to do with the stock 330i rims.
Next year as the car approaching 65,000 miles: I will finish up my maintenance to-do list (paint the roof, new tires in before winter 2010, Valve Cover Gaskets, Spark Plugs, Stewart water pump, cooling system overhaul, front end suspension overhaul, and possibly upgrade the brakes to Akebonos-to combat annoying brake dusting), I also want to upgrade to OEM E90 LCI aluminum pedals, and possibly find a new wood trim for the interior (either eucalyptus or cherry or even piano black), After all that then whatever energy and coin I have left over I may upgrade to heated sports seats.
