Morning enthusiasts! Yesterday after I pulled my car into the garage, I noticed some leakage from where the car was parked and a trail going into the garage. Not a big leak but big enough to come and search for answers that I could not find on my own. The color of the oil is like a clear metallic and the leak was coming from the middle of the car when I looked under. It leaked for about 10 min and just stopped but I know since I have high mileage, I need to be proactive. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
How many miles are on your bimmer? It sounds like from your description that you may have a main seal leak which is the seal between the transmission and the motor....
About 191k at this time. I know at this time for sure I need front/rear brake replacement but nothing else from what our mechanic said. We recently had the radiator and alternator replaced so this new leak is annoying to say the least lol Would this be a big DIY or trust my Indy?
Haven't checked the pan oil filter, will do that. I'm not sure if it's just water but I made sure to look at it and touch it with my finger tip and it was an oily substance not water.
