New member and new to owning a bmw.

Hey I'm Nick, and I just bought a 2003 330CI BMW. It has 28,500 miles and some AC SCHNITZER parts. Any advice is welcomed. This is how she looks after a wash and wax.

28,000 miles!!! Still in the wear in stage. Certainly a garage queen, hopefully the previous owners changed the oil regularly enough even though the miles are low.

Very nice.... you just need to change the wheels into the newer style as that style is very common. Just my personal pref...

Thanks. A/T, which rims are you referring to? I thought the pillow was strange.

Style 68s are a nice wheel - and one of the lightest available.
Is the 'pillow' perhaps a car cover in a bag?

Yeah it's a car cover. Haven't had time to check it out. That makes much more sense than a pillow. lol

I've been reading common problems with the e46, cooling system, disa, vanos, rear sub frame, ect. I have some questions. With my miles being so low (28,xxx) can I wait on replacing some of these common problems? I do plan on getting this kit this week. http://www.germanautosolutions.com/product.php has anyone have experience with this kit or company? Also checked the coolant level today and the float was almost not floating. No leaks whatsoever and no milky oil. Wtf? Don't know what it was last week when I bought it (I know stupid thing to forget) Oh yeah, my float post isn't red it's white, normal? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

With miles that low, I wouldn't worry about the cooling system apart from a coolant flush.
DISA valve is more a km thing to my knowledge, and rear sub frame is only really a problem if the car has experienced continued acceleration and deceleration. The constant change of force from the front to back of the car is what stresses the sub frame mounts and ultimately cracks it.

I have a 2000 330ci with 117,000kms and I know it's only had the expansion tank and thermostat replaced. All hoses and radiator are original, but I will be replacing them all end of this year if I decide to keep the car for longer.

My recommendation, change the fuel pump so you don't get left stranded

New member and new to owning a bmw.

OEM! I put an a brand new after market one in my 330, never fully worked. Caused a faulty fuel gauge. After doing some research, found its a common problem when you fit an aftermarket fuel pump to an e46.
Buy from FCP euro and I think they have a lifetime warranty. And as you're in the States, shipping is cheaper then it was for me sending it to Australia

New OEM one works brilliant. It's Seimens VDO brand
