HBO Show - Silicon Valley

I haven't really been into HBO shows since How to Make It in America got the axe but I just got into GoT and Silicon Valley and I'm hooked.

Anyone else into this show?

If I were your boss, I'd be mad if you spent any time on this forum at work at all. Good show, but TJ Miller and Martin Star make that show funny. Any scenes they aren't in are largely forgettable.

Chris Van Welch was funny too but he's dead now and the new lady that's channeling his character is not capturing the Asperger awkward genius that Chris nailed perfectly.

The way they made him go out though was just fantastic. Interesting and hilarious way to "kill off" a character. Fit the show well.

Love Silicon valley! Generally look forward to this more than game of thrones haha every episode has been satisfying

IMO, Martin Star and Zach Woods nail each of their characters bang on. The awkwardness of Jared is amazing.

Your right I totally forgot about Zach Woods. He's brilliant in that role.

I was dying at how the "attorney" put Ehrlich on the stand.

Anyways, I think this is the most plausible outcome of their arbitration. I got anxious after the episode and started looking for the outcome.

I guess the main question is how much is Middle-Out based on Richard's previous compression algorithm. IIRC, in ep8 last season, Richard said he totally rewrote it and so that means that Middle Out is actually a separate technology and at that point Hooli had already caught up and equalled Richard's orignal algorithm since the programmer's had the early code from Github.

Wow brilliant. Makes complete sense. I really hope the outcome is like this.

I was thinking the same exact thing. The original build of PP was tested on a Hooli laptop, but that is gone and the new Middle Out stuff is clean.

Holy crap! That means Hooli gets stuck with the shitty first version of Pied Piper and Richard gets to keep the superior middle out version of Pied Piper. This better be the outcome or I'm jumping ship. I can't take this show anymore.

I'm hoping the block Richard worked on was a block that didn't end up in the eventual Middle-Out algorithm, but I don't know it that would actually fix anything. He still worked on Pied Piper at Hooli.
