Shut your whore mouth.

I like the show, but I haven't caught any of season 2.

I guess the main question is how much is Middle-Out based on Richard's previous compression algorithm. IIRC, in ep8 last season, Richard said he totally rewrote it and so that means that Middle Out is actually a separate technology and at that point Hooli had already caught up and equalled Richard's orignal algorithm since the programmer's had the early code from Github.

Wow brilliant. Makes complete sense. I really hope the outcome is like this.

I was thinking the same exact thing. The original build of PP was tested on a Hooli laptop, but that is gone and the new Middle Out stuff is clean.

Holy crap! That means Hooli gets stuck with the shitty first version of Pied Piper and Richard gets to keep the superior middle out version of Pied Piper. This better be the outcome or I'm jumping ship. I can't take this show anymore.

I'm hoping the block Richard worked on was a block that didn't end up in the eventual Middle-Out algorithm, but I don't know it that would actually fix anything. He still worked on Pied Piper at Hooli.

I'd be shocked if this doesn't happen. I'm sure it'll bring the lulz either way though.

Season went down differently than expected. I feel like it was built just to set up next season from about the half way point.

The company that ripped them off still is first to market with a middle-out algorithm while Pied Piper still has no revenue stream to pay all their people after the porn site fiasco. Tons of free marketing now though, so how do they take advantage?
Does Richard lose his board seat now that he is no longer CEO?
Wasn't the 3rd board seat dedicated to Monica by Peter Gregory's company? Does that no longer apply now that they have the other share?
Am I the only one who thinks that Gavin Belson might become the new CEO for Pied Piper?

Does Richard lose his board seat now that he is no longer CEO? No, he would still have his board seat, he's just no longer CEO.
Wasn't the 3rd board seat dedicated to Monica by Peter Gregory's company? No, she was just voting on Raviga's behalf because Laurie didn't want to deal with Russ.

I don't think Gavin will become the new CEO. I'm sure they will appoint someone else. And now that they are back with Raviga (and Raviga is willing to fund them), they have enough funding and don't need to rely on Intersite.

They will get so close to making millions only to have some last minute issue pop up and ruin it, this will happen a few times.

I still love the show though.

This is great. From Conan Obrien. "Clueless Gamers" segment vs. the cast of Silicon Valley

Damn, big time thread bump. Anyone catch the season 4 premiere Sunday? Thought it was pretty good. Only part that bugged me was the opening scene when they made several references to the video chat being on cellular data but Richard's phone clearly showed it was on the Chevy Volt wifi

Favorite quote of the episode:
Quote:
Dinesh: Gilfoyle, can I please be CEO of Pied Piper?
Gilfoyle: Spoken like a true leader.

****SPOILER ALERT****

lol I caught it too. Pretty awesome season opener. New internet idea sounds epic. Russ Hanneman scene was fricking hilarious, and my fave part of the episode was the exchange between Gavin and his advisor to make 20 trips from China and back just to get an average flight time so he can be petty and use it against Jack lollllll that was awesome, especially after the advisor asks whether Gavin's sure he wants to undertake the millions in cost to prove it to which Gavin smiled and nodded like the psychopath he is!

I was worried after each season that new writers/directors will **** up the next season. Thankfully it's been great and looks to be on the same successful sauce.

That being said, I can't wait to get more three comma club comedies. Love this show, and it hits close to home on so many fronts. Even the egotistical CEO who can only think about himself.

Great season opener, definitely looks like it's going to be a good season. Funniest show on TV for sure.

Yesterday's episode was fvcking gold. I loved it. Somehow good situations always turn bad and bad situations always turn good. And in the end Hooli always gets the shaft.

This show is pretty cool and inspiring. The main character remind me about Mark Zuckerberg.
