Nice. I'm trying to get into photography.

On a side note, if you're planning on changing your shocks and struts, should you invest in reinforcement plates for the strut towers and possibly subframe reinforcement in the rear?

Reinforcements for the front/rear are inexpensive and a good idea. Subframe reinforcement however is a whole other ball game

Rear End Restoration Picture Thread

Snuck under the car and took a few photos. I want to get rid of some of the rusty brackets and bolts eventually, the cross member needs cleaned but other than that it looks pretty good under there.

Don't you need to weld in the strut tower plates also?

The front strut mount reinforcement plates just sit between the strut mount and the body. No welding.

I'm just referring to the bolt on plates. For the front strut mounts and rear shock mounts

Oh really? I thought they had to be welded. I'll get on that if that's the case.

Could you post a link to what you are referring to, please?

Do those fit in the front and the rear? And do those do the same job as these plates in the front? https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...t-plates-pair/

That ebay link is only for the rear. they go on the inside of your trunk on top of your shock tower. they essentially do the same job

So in here?

https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...cufOaKymd-M%3A

Would you say a strut tower brace does the same job as those reinforcement plates that go underneath the shock tower 'hat'?

evanr614, how much was that mason bar you installed? Did you have to contact them directly to order? I only see the complete setup that ties into the shock towers on their website. That bar you have looks like a good compromise between support and preserving trunk space. I'm assuming it included the threaded rods and other hardware? Thanks in advance

Had the magnaflow welded in today. Fitment isn't perfect but the sound is really nice compared to the muffler delete. Now I just have to decide between getting headers or working towards the manual swap or getting a shark injector. I'm leaning towards the swap.

I ordered it directly from him but I believe they are on eBay. It is a great compromise between support and trunk space. All of the hardware is included it just takes some fabrication to make it all work.

thanks for the response, I ordered mine off ebay yesterday. Your 328 looks great, nice work. Would be interested to hear a review of the full poly bushing setup after another few thousand miles. And definitely go for the manual swap.

Sounds like this is turning into your build thread. Exhaust looks sharp. I approve of your plan of working toward the manual swap. I was going to ask for a sound clip but then I realized it would include fail-ish auto trans shifts. Get that 3rd pedal!

Also maybe I missed it but what's the latest on the white 330 from FL?

Yeah I haven't put enough miles on it yet to have a valid review.

I am going to start to piece together the bigger parts for the manual swap! I may do a sound clip of the muffler. It's been a while since I had the stock one but it's a little deeper and sportier than stock but far from loud at all so it's nice.

The white 330 is in its new home in Columbus and will be undergoing a COMPLETE cooling system, system overhaul, power steering overhaul, CCV overhaul, odds and ends such as cabin filter, intake filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, VCG refresh with new plugs/coil boots, OFHG, and then a few suspension items for now such as front control arms/FCABS. I know I'm missing some things but now we're just waiting on parts in the mail
