How did you like it when you were running a muffler delete? Did you leave everything else stock just a muffler delete at the time?

the muffler delete sounded awful. everything else was stock. if you want a cheap sporty option that still sounds great cut off the muffler and weld in a $200 magnaflow.

anyways...got the headers all wrapped up. just need to find some money for motor mounts and gaskets.

evanr614 pre-facelift coupe "build" thread

haven't had time to take any proper pictures of the interior makeover. I sanded down the lower portions of the armrests because the rubber coating was peeling in places and that stuff sucks. so I wrapped them in a matte black. I had to do some epoxy work to the drivers side arm rest as it was splitting from the plastic it is held to but it is rock solid now. splitting the armrests apart was a PITA.

I have vinyl wrapped my interior before in different colors but was never happy with the colors I chose. I finally found a unique wood grain vinyl that I fell in love with and decided to do the whole car in. it may not be everyone's taste but I'm very satisfied with how it looks. hopefully I can get some real pictures on a nice sunny day soon but for now here's an iPhone pic I took right after I finished. It looks different in all kinds of light.

Thank you, I really liked the outcome. Better than looking at cracked armrests and poo brown (myrtle) wood trim. I've got my aux port routed to the back section of the tray with a mini bluetooth receiver tucked in there that has worked very nicely. I miss my cup holder a lot though haha.

Yea now you just need some black sport seats, maybe a Dynavin N6, and your interior is all done

not a huge fan of the nav systems for these cars. I really don't have a need for one, but some sport or M3 seats will be happening eventually for sure. as well as black headliner and pillars.

caught this vinyl sample in the light really well today. I'm bouncing between two different blues but I haven't got a bigger roll of the other one yet. a 3x5 inch sample just doesn't do justice.

That looks pretty sweet, by the picture it looks close to real paint! vinyl has really improved over the last couple years.

Can't wait to see when its all done

+1 on that. I will never own a car with a screen of any type if I can help it. Call me a luddite; it's where I'm at.

I like it but it looks a touch bright. I want to desaturate it a few ticks.
