How many of you save unused condiment packages from fast food take outs?

Do you throw out your plastic grocery bags or save them to use in your mini trash cans?

I can't stand condiment packets being saved. Unless I plan on using them the next day for lunch at work or something. Other than that, they always sit there till they get thrown out.

I'll keep a few around for lunches or small trash in the garage.

I have a question regarding 4k.

I just bought a new 4k TV and Xbox one s that supports it as well. I don't really want to pony up for a new surround sound receiver atm. I was talking to a coworker today and he said I could just run all the hdmi's to the TV, then run a digital optical cable from the TV to receiver. Then I'd have 4k picture and still use my surround sound.

Sound about right?

Yes but you'll lose Dolby Digital Plus audio in doing so.

If you never knew DD+ existed, you won't notice a difference from what you have now. You'll still get DD 5.1 audio through optical. Please note that some TV's also have an HDMI out function to send DD+ audio to receivers as well. Depending on how old your receiver is, it probably doesn't do DD+ anyway.

Any of you know anything about reflectivity/gloss meters? Looking to get one to measure aluminum.

Measure it for reflectivity? Should be very straight forward if you're able to make a contact measurement. Anything remote introduces a ton of error.

Can someone help me with my chrome issue? Just started two days ago and I can't seem to fix it. It says I'm connected but it won't load the page and when I trouble shoot in settings it says I'm connected. Wi-Fi, updates, uploading my Garmin, and ie all work fine.

Do I just need to uninstall it?

Thanks in advance!

Edit- windows 7 on a Lenovo T430U.

The next post I make on this thread is a question that answers itself. The question is its own answer. Can you figure it out before I post it?

Goto "Network" on Chrome setting and click "Change Proxy setting.."

Click "Lan settings"

Uncheck "Use Proxy server for your LAN" then check the box on top for "Automatically detect settings".

Click "OK" then click "OK" to exit out.

You should be able to go online.

Edit: why are you still on win7? Let me know if you want to upgrade to win10, I'll link ya.

[ If I understand him correctly, MorganFreeman pretty much nailed it (I think). Kudos. ]

Already tried that after watching this.

I just haven't had a reason to update windows. I mainly use it for screwing around on the interwebz. Not for work or anything. I'll check out windows 10 if you want to send me a link.

In the meantime, I still could use some help figuring out this Chrome issue.
