But have you ever driven a stick shift first or 2nd gen Miata? Your balls will be getting rubbed by the steering wheel each time you turn it.

Goddamned the new miata is hideous in the front.

I have those exact same LED tails on my sedan right now. Looks timeless.

I had the LED tails on my coupe, really changes the look of the rear... Kinda the same deal with the AP2 s2k, the AP1 tail and headlights look pretty old when you compare to the headlights and LED tails of the AP2.

Also, I really like the front of the new Miata, but I just can't get over the rear tail lights... Just looks goofy. Not to mention it's completely under powered as usual. I mean... Almost 100hp less than the S2k...
You might be the only person in the entire world who prefers the front end to the ass end of that car. Really. It is just so hideous up front. Did I already ay that?

**mic drop**

@boosted, i randomly clicked on one and it's located in Lutz. hahaha

.
You can get a factory five replica kit for relatively cheap, get a beater mustang and have a fast as hell rugged, reliable, raw convertible beast that looks exactly like this for far far less.

damn! I didn't click on it.. so it is indeed! $40K for a fully built and painted 5.0 one is a good price...

P.S. if anyone wants to be jealous, Factory Five Racing is like 20 minutes from my house.

Leave your 10+ year old E46 outside as well. I'm sure the S2000 is worth $10k more than that car anyway.

We need to chat. I REALLY want a W220 Benz...need to know how much I'm going to regret it if I do pull the trigger.

Thirteen years and counting! That's my dilemma: I have too many cars that I love too much to relegate one of them to the blistering outside all day, every day. So until I'm ready to get rid of the Vader or the Deuce, or unless I build a second garage (hmmm...) I'm going to stick with what I've got.

Nah. I'm too lazy to do that. I want my precious cars indoors at night and out of the burning sun by day (as much as is possible).

I feel like the time to pick up an S2k has passed. They're really expensive and getting old. Sadly, the Supra went through the same thing (in my mind). I like the new MX5, though, could be a nice weekend car. How about an MR-2 turbo? You can get one cheap AF these days, and Toyota is reliable. I had one, real cool car.

I honestly won't be getting something for a couple years, was just looking at cars today and figured I'd start a thread.

Nothing like an s2k thread to unite OT, now go get your ****ing marshmallow roasting stick, its time to make smores and sing kumbaya.

Eh. Seems like decent examples can be had for 17-20k. 15k even with mileage around 60k.

For the AP2 17-20k will buy you a decent example with lower (~60k-70k) miles. 15k for 60k miles will buy you a AP1 in decent condition.

If you want an AP2 with low (less than 50k) miles and in good to excellent condition, prepare for low to mid 20's. If you want a laguna blue example, add $3k-$4k to that number just because. If you want a late run 07-08 model, add some more. If you want a CR then plan on $30k-$35k at least.

I like how you hate on the E46 so much but then you want to walk into a W220 like it's not going to be a nightmare.

Good info. The CR seems like kind of a worthless premium, in my opinion

I'd rather drive a 4 cylinder automatic fiero than a Mercedes from the early 2000's. Complete and utter POS, every one.

I should have held onto my AP2, had low low miles. Oh well.

I can't believe the Supra market didn't tank

https://newyork.craigslist.org/que/cto/6032902584.html

25k, non-turbo (clean as hell)

I had a 3000GT one year older, similar miles, great condition...barely got 6k for it

I've read that the W220 is actually quite reliable? In any case, I'd get it solely as an experience of owning an S class, it wouldn't be a daily. I'm considering that and a Lexus LS...which would be an order of magnitude more reliable but not an S class.

CR is pointless unless you want to track it and/or tell everyone you have a CR. #becauseracecar. IMO, it's not worth the premium to not get a roof.
