I can't blame him, and I would do the same. Even if that is your corporate culture, to come out and say it like that pushes the douche-meter off the charts, and I wouldn't want to work around a bunch of people who think they're better than everyone else just because of the logo on their business card; let your work speak for itself.

Meh, I wouldn't have walked out. I would've just absorbed that info and taken it out the door.

Boeing gave us comically low offers in grad school after an extremely long interview process. I don't think a single person took it.

It is their job to pay you as little as possible to do the job at hand. I bet someone somewhere took the job lol.

I think we've talked about that in other threads, but it's so ****ing stupid. I've become accustomed to calling it Uptown now, but I still hate it. Living in Charlotte and not being in the Finance or Banking industry is pretty cool though, you'll find a lot of people you meet try to stay away from those types so it makes it easier to meet and talk to people.

Bankers are arrogant scum. They don't do **** and think because they move money from here to there in a semi clever manner that they're worth ****.

Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise. You might get paid less, but usually you'll have to learn a whole ton of weird but incredibly useful things that a larger company wouldn't have you do, and the larger company pays you more because you know it.

I got experience at a vehicle assembly plant that built 360,000 vehicles per year and dealt with the day to day quality issues for half the parts flowing into it.

So get paid less to do more work?

You must be here illegally and Trump's gonna deport you.

That's usually what happens at smaller companies. Less personnel and less resources = more work per individual. Definitely noticed that coming from a large corporation to one a fifth of the size.
