getting rid of this thing. took all the useful bits off the car.

i want to sell this part, it's an aluminum intake manifold that fits M54 engine, 660cc injectors, fuel rail, and BMW 650i throttle body that just happens to fit.

anybody interested in the intake manifold ?

there's also a mishimoto expansion tank that i've taken off that will not be mostly useless to me, so i'd let that one go for cheap as well.

i've got few other bits (ebay turbo, oil feed line, bits of the intercooler piping)

oh yeah, i have the AC line replacement too, if someone wants that, it doesn't leak, and you can make whatever length hose you need.

Hey gurov,

How did the Mishimoto expansion tank go, I have one at home, I have not put it on yet as was unsure of fitment - I have two of their thermostats that don't fit in the OEM thermostat housing.

Cheers.

the expansion tank fit fine. very little space in my setup, but good piece. the stock cooling system is quite good.

Thanks gurov.

I don't have a problem with the OEM system, polished aluminium looked nice.

I got stranded once in Manhattan because of the cracked expansion tank. This would have prevented that.

so in my setup, there was a full aluminum radiator.

M54 has way better cooling than my 2jz in the supra. I'm way jealous.

Do you think there was any cooling benefit from the full aluminium radiator?

I have one at home, not installed yet.

I hope you get a buyer for your aluminium M54 manifold.

doubt there was much cooling benefit from the aluminum radiator for what i was doing, it was more of a peace of mind of having a full aluminum radiator. all the hoses fit.

the bigger radiator places the expansion tank WAY too close to the alternator pulley, so the aluminum expansion tank was obvious choice there.

Did you ever sell the intake manifold? I'm looking to purchase it if it's still available.

hah, i thought i got out of the E46 game, but guess not.

i've acquired a 2000 323i touring for $650 that needs a lot of love, will leave the auto trans alone and attempt to tune with the MS43 stuff that's out now. not going as wild and unusable as the xi was.
