Haha. Im still waiting for the "well than go buy an E90" comment. Somebody will try to rain on our parade. But seriously though...we want that chime. It'll definitely top off my little interior refresh project i got going on at the moment.

Okay let's get a master list of people who are interested. I'm thinking if I can get a bulk discount on parts and make them it would work out cheaper/easier that way for you guys...

I'll start it, please add your names.

I could also assemble them for 75-100 depending on how many people would be interested, as I might be able to get some of the parts at a discount if I buy in bulk.

@northerncae46, the length of the beep has since been adjusted on my car, but I could set it at any length
If you don't mind me asking before (if you decide to) do a writeup, what exactly does it entail? I know the cluster is in charge of deciding which sounds to produce based on what I did with the gong, but how did you get it to play essentially a file? I assume you had to go through the head unit as well? Again I'm really impressed and grateful you found a way to do this.

I am more than happy to discuss this over PM, as I'm not sure if I'm doing a write up yet. Please send me one and I'll respond as soon as I'm home

could you at least share if it requires soldering or any modification of the cluster? Or a level of difficulty/skills required?

Basic electrical/computer skills are required along with the ability to use a Dremel and a screwdriver. Manual dexterity and patience are definitely a plus as well.

Shouldn't be too difficult for most members who work on their cars.
