My Ride: BMW 325Ci
325Ci from South Jersey

Hello all,

Just bought a 2004 5 speed 325Ci and its my first BMW. So thankful and excited to have this car, I know its not an M6 but its still a great car in my eyes. It is Orient Blue over Black leather and is super clean for having 203k miles! At any rate I have big plans for this car so you will see and hear a lot from me. I'm still learning so bear with me. Essentially what I wanna do is make this track ready car that I can still drive every day. I want to do full custom M3 aesthetics on the exterior and give it the heart and soul of the S85 M6. I have a wish list started but I still need to fill in some of the "need to's" because obviously I can't just buy a V10 bolt it in and be on my merry way. As for myself, I go to Lincoln Tech during the day to become a master certified technician. At night I work at F C Kerbeck in Palmyra, New Jersey. I plan on becoming a full time Maserati Technician once I graduate school (February). I'm super passionate about all things automotive and have big plans for my future. I love everyday and love making new friends, especially ones that share my passion for great cars. Feel free to give me a shout, especially if you are ever in the Philly, South Jersey area. Thanks for having me and here's to the future

-Ryan

Enjoy! May you have many years of pleasure as a BMW owner. Instead of going the V10 route, have you thought about forced air induction on an M3 power plant? The conversion may be easier, the balance of the car may be better and it will most certainly perform.
There is a wealth of helpful (and not so helpful) information to be gained here. You will soon get to know who is who.

@ junklar I got it for 2500

@ ti317 Thanks man I appreciate the mature response. I posted up another thread asking for guidance and I instantly got a rather immature response. At any rate I have considered the S54 but I just wanted to be different. I absolutely love the S85 power plant. I mean if it turns out to be right on the edge of impossible I probably will go ahead and do an S54 swap but at that rate I mind as well save my money and sell this car for a used M3 and then build that up. I essentially am trying to build this car from the ground up utilizing different groups for one ultimate one of a kind BMW. I mean we'll have to see where I end up but I'm keeping a lot of options open. Thanks again

It has been done before and if unusual is at you want, M6 may b the way to go. Bearing mind that there will most likely be fewer M6 power plants, harnesses and ECUs to harvest but I am sure you'll find what you need if you look.
Ignore the childish responses. Like I said, you'll find out who is who soon enough. One word of advice on one member, Mango may sometimes come across as heavy handed but he is knowledgeable and really willing to help. I think he just likes to break chops sometimes but he knows his stuff.
