Looks good so far! I see you already swapped out the blue interior..

I like the trim, now all you need is to get rid of the wooden shifter/e-brake. I smell like an F10 M5 knob will work perfectly. Maybe a little SSK action too? (I've never been a fan of how high the e39 shifters are)

In for progress

F10 M5 shift knob with the boot came in.

My headlights were too bad, I tried refinishing the lenses but failed at it. So I bought some Depo headlights, they are really crappy. Actually, projectors and light output is maybe even better than OEM but the angel eyes suck, they come in amber and you can see that there are 4 individual LEDs lighting up each ring. They are still an upgrade IMO. I wanted to get rid of the amber corners as well so here we go i guess. I am going to order new lenses for the facelift headlights from Schmiedmann and try to bake and open my OEM lenses and reseal them, if I get to do that, I am definitely switching back to OEM.

Here is how they look installed.

Modification of fitting the F10 M5 knob with the boot was pain in the butt, it fits right onto the stock frame but when you put it into 6th gear, it popped right out. I ended up leaving half of the original boot on the frame and got a tailor to glue/sew the F10 boot on it. Now I have much more room for activities even with the OEM shifter. It also looks nicer too, I like how it's all saggy right on there instead of being stretched. I have the UUC short shifter which I will be installing soon as I figure out doing the best way, with the short shifter, it should look much better. Here is how it sits.

Just a little action btw

Same day these arrived, I looked up and saw the DJ Autos!!! Where were you before!!!!! I'm so pissed because Dj Auto's look exactly like OEM and cheaper. Anyway, I ordered new lenses for the OEM headlights and I will probably be giving the depos away to someone who needs them.

Love the car, but I feel like an M5 commands a little more respect than splatter trim....

lol it's not Taj Mahal. I don't think one would be disrespecting the fine engineering of the legendary beast with a little splatter touch. I think everyone should be able to add a little more personality to their cars by modding them so they get to get better driving experience. I for instance feel great in a car that I customized. All the cars I've owner are modified and I think I would even be modding an F40 if I had one. Sure I have also done many wrong mods to my cars in the past but people grow up or change. I will probably not like the splatter after some time and go with the Brushed Shadow Aluminum

I agree with individuality... And I, like yourself, have modded and indivigualized most everything I have owned, that I loved...so Im with you there

I like the splatter on the 3 seemed to fit better...

It just kinda took me by surprise when I saw how seriously aggressive the car was, and then saw the light hearted splatter trim...

Maybe I'm getting old.... LoL

Still an awesome ride bro!

Loved your 3 series, but I agree that I don't think the splatter fits with the style you have going on with the 5 so far. Your car though Can't wait to see it modified more.

Thank you guys!

Ohh I recently did a bunch of other stuff along with the maintenance. Rear main seal and the differential was leaking so I took care of those. Since I was there, I have upgraded the clutch to UUC organic performance clutch and installed UUC Evo3 SSK.

Messing around with my spare headlights, they will be complete with the Umnitza clear headlight lenses.

Maintenanceeee

Crazy amount of leak!

SSK sitting pretty!!

Fixed the leaking rear view mirror! Easy mod, mirror is two pieces, just throw away the glass and clean the residue on the mirror(careful with it, because I hear it's mercury) . I didn't put it on because I had a spare one laying around so I used that. I'm not ready to loose my auto dim feature lol

Fender bender? No problem, get a matching color fender and slap it on!

Vinyl stripes? Nope..

Painted my spare plenum... I love custom work.
