Yes, they should have voted Democrat so they could end up like Detroit - much better.

Detroit is a city and not a state. Furthermore, the cities with the highest GDP are overwhelmingly Blue. So your logic is flawed.

Confused-

Redistricting - Common practice. Dems and Reps do it equally across our nation.

Ability to Vote- Its affecting a very small minority of people that have misplaced or never received birth certificates. All of sudden the media has spun this to mean that disenfranchises black voters. If black people are less inclined to have their BC, then sure maybe. I would think the backwards white hill people would net loss on that issue. White people being disenfranchised doesn't garner media attention though.

Abortion Reform - Ummm, you voted republican... what did you expect.

Can we really call this a mess?

redistricting means that the Democrats got the popular vote but lost due to gerrymandering (yes Dems do this too but not to the extent)

also means that they are working hard to make them get voted out even though they don't get the majority of votes.

As a former resident of North Carolina, my heart goes out to its people. It's an otherwise great State.

Well, at a high level you are correct. If broken down though, those that earn the most, possess the most intelligence and bring the GDP average way up vote red. Since cities often have a high concentration of low income minorities that out vote them though, the skewed income level averages relatively high but consensus appears blue.

It's more a case study in extreme wealth divide than GDP ACTUALLY preferring blue ideology.

Popular republican myth: Detroit's problems belong to democrats - not to a lack of revenue.

If that were true, economies would thrive equally if not better in a Red environment. But they don't.

We're talking about the state that attempted to pass a law stating that they will desregard the Establishment Clause of the 1st amendment.

Do you have a link to a study that supports your claim?

Looks like they're killing it compared to the US Congress.

Only thing that pisses me off to high heaven is the abortion ****. If people don't want the kids, abort those suckers. When these unwanted kids turn into teens were gonna have a crime wave, plus I don't wanna have to pay for their worthless asses.

If anything I think the state should subsidize abortions, it'll save them a **** ton in the long run.

Voter ID or whatever is pointless but it's not negatively effecting me so IDGAF.

Spot on. Unfortunately, GOP only cares about the rights of a fetus, once it pops up they don't care at all.

Read the crosstabs in the poll. Statistically this is a party-line poll. No suprise on the outcome. But I might not draw the grand conclusion badger and the atlantic gleened from the poll.
