Parting out my salvaged 323i???

I have a 1999 323i (e46,120kmiles) that was determined unsalvageable by the insurance company after my daughter lost control on a rainy road. The suspension, front and rear, is damaged and though it is repairable, the cost exceeds more than 75% the value of the car.

I am considering buying it back for the salvage price but wanted to get opinions from the forum. Is there a market for the drive train of a 1999 323i and other parts?
  • Engine and trans (5 speed manual with UUC short shifter) are in great condition and undamaged
  • All body parts are undamaged (color silver)
  • Interior undamaged (black leather)
  • 4 wheels undamaged (17")

Parting out my salvaged 323i???

I would possibly be interested in a door and hood. Depending on condition and price.

all doors and hoods are in excellent condition. The car is silver. For the door, assume you need complete door including door panel?

Doing some research on what is a reasonable price. 100 for the door and 300 for the hood plus shipping?

I am buying it back. Should have it back to my house sometime this week to begin removing parts. I will PM you separately as I get to the requested parts.

Ash tray not immaculate... typical scratches but sun visors should be OK.

New clutch and related items replaced about 20k ago so should be in excellent condition. At the same time, the shifter was replaced with a UUC short shift kit. The only part that I will not sell is the UUC heavy shifter knob. Is that an issue?

Also, the headlights are not original. They are projector headlights with halo.

Ok. What do the grilles, corners and side repeaters look like? And does the driver mirror fold?

Does it have a CD player or navigation? I'm looking for the HVAC relocation bracket.

It has a CD player. The original equipment was a tape player but I replaced it with a newer BMW head unit and replaced the rest of the sound system with HK parts.

I hope to have my car home within a few days and will PM you as I get to the parts you are looking for.

I finally got Flora (my daughter's name for her 323i) home. As you can see, she is in pretty good condition. The suspension was damaged and the cost to repair was just too much.

Please be patient with me because I am a one man show with a full time job. I will begin taking parts off this week and work as fast as I can.

Here are some pics:

No damage to body parts. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact DW with less than 4k on them

Black Leather interior is great condition.

Upgraded Depot headlights with halo

Engin and drive train in excellent condition

Replaced the stock air intake with KNN CAI but I still have the OE
