My first Bimmer!

Hello everyone! I am new to the group and have recently purchased a 2002 325i in Oxford Green Metalic. It has about 110XXX on the odometer, so not too bad for a car over 10 years old! It is also my first BMW.

I have already experienced some of the typical E46 maintenance. The first was the intake boots, then there was some cracked vacuum hoses. Now I got a bad starter and some other proactive maintenance. All in all, it is a great car and very fun to drive.

Just last week my poor baby got caught in hail so I have a messed up hood, roof, and trunk. Will be getting those fixed soon though.

I look forward to being part of the group and seeing the experiences of others. I will try post some pics soon.

If you have a sunroof and it's hailing, open the sunroof and put your car cover on, then stick a broom through the sunroof so it looks like a tent. Saved me from a few dings last year. (Garage full)

Or lay an old comforter on the car hood to trunk then tighten the car cover down on top of it.
