Bought new full function key from USA

I just purchased a full function key for my car from a dealer in the USA for US$128 plus postage. This is an original BMW key.

Thanks to Rajvosa who put me on to this guy. The key is on it's way and I will update you on how it works when I get it in the next 2-3 days.

Hey Con, is the Key already Programmed to your VIN? that sounds crazy cheap if that's the case.

I had to supply the VIN in order for him to order the key from BMW. So, let's see how it goes when it arrives.

If it works I will be a happy chappy, not having to worry what would happen if I lose my only key or if it dies.

These are the prices they offered: master key 128.00 standard key 39.00 plus usps

Good to know. the PO only had 1 key so it would be handy to have another one. Let me know how it goes. Bargain price!

I lost my key last year, was so shattered. Lucky I haven't lost this one, so if it works, I'll definitely be on this!

The place you ordered it from is gonna think Australia is a bunch of losers all ordering at once haha. I vote for a group buy, then when the package comes, we all have a lucky dip and pick a key and then take home the car that you opened Anyone keen? (No 318i's allowed)

Well I still have two, but one failed in remote, and I revived it by some soldering on the tiny capacitor...

But it has been opened and glued back which looks ugly, and I don't know how long it will last, hence it's good to have a backup plan.
