I'm not saying you can't tune it, you yourself are not going to tune it.

Re: Question about modding dme

Well, here where I am, there are no tuners for my car. Engine swap is not possible due to yearly inspection. Only choice I have left is turbocharging it and figure out the tuning myself.

There are motec and unichip tuners here but they charge a bomb and aren't actually professionally trained.

I am hoping to find a PnP module. Whether it replaces the ECU or chips the ECU are both fine by me. Any recommendations?

Question about modding dme

You don't have the skills to, unless your a underground programming wizard. You don't simply just change ratios and timings, you change the code, to do that you have to know how to write the computer code.

Question about modding dme

Here is what I would do, find someone who can "tune" your dme. There is a small handful of people in this country that can do it, when you talk to them ask them how much boost/ everything you can do. Then ship your car to them, get a boat, fill it with cash, and pull the boat there with you.

Question about modding dme

The best BMW engine to boost is the m30 with megasquirt, put that in a e30 and you have a crazy fast machine for 1/3 the cost. Type in m30 in YouTube and you will see. Don't forget in trying to help you and these are my opinions, you don't have to listen to them.

Well, even for me, i donīt listen to you One doesnīt need to disassemble the code of th C167CR processor, its plain simple with the right software perhaps you need at least a wideband lambda, but thats obvious.

beeing not too lazy, you could have a search.

http://www.e46fanatics.com/forum/search.php

otherwise you could spend one hour and look through some threads which seem promising to find good answers.
