Looking for 9mm range gun

So I just sold my sig sp2022 in .40. Looking for a good range gun in 9mm. My first and only choice so far is a glock 17 gen 4. Any other good full sized pistols in that price range?

I would choose a gen 3 Glock 19 or 17, but the Smith and Wesson M&P is another popular pistol.

Re: Looking for 9mm range gun

I might see if I can look at one of those in person. I love the way the glock felt in my hand, and if its only gonna be a range gun why not go for the biggest one.

Just out of curiosity why the gen 3 ober the gen 4. Its only a $20 at my gun shop, and the extra mag more than makes up for that

Browning HP?

FN FNX-9?

Go shoot a few different guns and see what you like? Personally, I've never been a Glock fan, but that's just me

Some people like the feel of Gen3 over Gen4. I prefer Gen4.
Best choices would be Glock 17 or S&W M&P9.

Looking for 9mm range gun

I have g3 glock 19 as well as a CZ75 P-01 and hands down the CZ is a better range gun. It is DA/SA which someone like for carry but at the range it is not a problem. Trigger is very nice and to me it just feels and looks better pointed at the target.

If you want full size try the CZ75 full size.

Re: Looking for 9mm range gun

My sig was da/sa and I didnt mind it. The sa trigger on that thing was amazing out of the box. The glock trigger felt a bit heavier but was still nice. I wish I did have the luxury to fire every gun that I liked, but the only local range has a very small selection of rentals.

The only DA/SA pistols I've ever liked have been HK. Excellent pistols, but philosophically I can't buy HK.

I'll throw out a differing opinion - CZ75 SP01. By far my favorite full size 9mm.

Yea, but not impossible. They don't make them every year.

Also look for a G34. It is between a 17 and a 17L.
