I'm confused. The radio clearly states the manufacturing date as Mar. 02. There is something that looks like a date and is shown 11/02 in the space below the box that clearly states, manufacturing date. When there is clear information and ambiguous information, I usually go for the clear information first.

The radio still says March 02, so it should work with the aux cable.

11/02 means nothing. My stereo shows 31/02 in that space. You have to go by manufacturers part number. Even some stereos with a manufactured date of 09/02 will not work with the BMW aux cable. The P/N is more important than the date.

How is that possible when March comes before September? BMW states 09/02 to 2005

yeah it's pretty cheap. Online you might save $5-8.

Here is the link to the instructions with the part no.

http://www.bavauto.com/Assets/inst_pages/ins376.pdf

I got mine from the dealer. The dude at the counter was new and tried to sell me a USB cord. Go to the dealer with the part number
