Csatis1: E46 Touring /// M3 style

Hi Everyone,

Please let me introduce my "General LEE" project!

At the beginning in 2008 there was the base:

Then in 2009 he got new 18" wheels, 1DIN multimedia head unit and xenon headlight with CCFL AngelEye:

In 2010 The General got another new set of 19" wheels, carbon headlight cover (I made it...), painted door handles and Eibach ProStreet coilover set:

In 2011 got new M5look folding mirrors, new 2din multimedia head unit:

Then the interiour was refreshed: I bought an M3 SMG steering wheel, original M3 coupe heated seats. Then the front and rear seats, the steering wheel and the shift- and hadbrake boot were re-leathered, the inside trims were glossy black painted:

In 2012 got new cup holder:

Dinan strut bar with carbon inserts. Engine cover, ECU cover and washer tank cover was painted:

The roof was painted to black, roof rails were removed, then got new E46 M3 mirrors, M3 with Hamann fog light cover and carbon CSL splitters, 330i brake kit with OpenParts drilled discs:

Carbon emblems all around:

Little later new M-techII rear bumper with CSL style diffuser and 4pipes exhaust were installed:

E46 M3 rear view mirror:

2013:

Got new Royal GT rims. Fronts are 8.5x20" ET35 with Falken 225/30R20 tyres, rears are 9.5x20" ET30 with Pirelli 245/30R20 tyres. New M3 side skirts and leather hood insert.

Thats all!
This car is my first project, still looks that my wife will drive this car. Of course, not on 20", but 18".

Also on:
Powerfanatics

Watch my videos:

BMW_E46_Touring_Coupe

Update 2013.07.02.
New leather hood insert is ready and installed:

Now I need only a better engine...
Maybe swap to S54B32 with SMGII transmission.

E46 M3 Touring sounds awesome!

Thanks! I also found the 20's too hard (although I loved it), so they was used only for 5 months. I changed back to 18" two months ago. I prefer the 19", but my wife is pregnant so the 18 will be enough for her.
I have found this diffuser at mor-vision.de. It was 200EUR+shipping to Hungary.

Congrats on the baby - the touring looks great!

Very well done on the interior. Definitely agree that the 18s look better. Enjoy!

It's only a regular 318d-320d engine cover, painted black&silver.

Thanks! I ordered this week the baby seat to my son. An old baby seat will be re-leathered in black-gray, similar to the current interiour. I will post pics about it hopefully within 2-3 weeks.
I'm just leaving for washing the General, more pics tomorrow with the 18"! And with the previous 19".

The new 18" wheels are similar to the 20", I like this shape!

Looks great! I have a wagon that is my work in progress right now. Is the navigation unit a Dynavin? I had no idea M3 rear seats fit the interior of a wagon. Did you have to modify them at all?

In regards to the diffuser:
I have found this diffuser at mor-vision.de. It was 200EUR+shipping to Hungary.

do they sell to US?

I really cannot believe nobody has come out with a csl-style diffuser replica for zhp rear bumper since it is such a popular mod...

The navi is not Dynavin, it is only a chinese aftermarket unit. Bought from this company: http://www.sharingdigital.com/products/BMW-E46.htm
If I remember well, it was around 350USD+shipping. MOQ: 5or10pcs.
If you want to buy only one from this company, ask for sample. (Maybe in this case they will send one piece.)

The rear seats of M3 absoultely not fit to touring. I had to modify the touring rear seats similar to the fronts.

About diffuser:
I think they send to US as well, just have to ask for the shipping price.

Hate the wheels, don't like the front splitters. Both hold back how clean the car can look. Love everything under the hood.

Sure! I don't like fake things, especially not on my car!

I have complete photo documentation of this quad pipe project. I will make a DIY soon if interest you.
