aftermarket radio harness, car not starting HELP

Ok, so i have a kenwood deck hooked up to a 4 channel amp everything working fine except radio reception sucked. Pulled out unit to find the antenna unplugged. plugged it back in and realized the harness at the kenwood deck harness had all the wires cut off (never realized this because the speakers run off the rca preouts anyways) leaving exposed wires. it proceeded to spark. unplug battery rig it all up and it works ok. go to start the car this morning and it doesnt crank. pull unit and it starts right up... plug it back in and it wont start.. unplug and it starts again..... oh and with it plugged in the cluster just clicks and doesnt work as well

i ordered a new kenwood 16pin harness... do you think that is the problem? maybe a fuse blew?

appreciate any help

Not a fuse problem as the car starts when the head unit is unplugged. I suspect the head unit is reducing the voltage on the "always on" wire thereby causing an inadequate voltage condition.
