How do you drive your SMG?

As with a 6MT, there are numerous ways we can operate a sequential transmission. I'm interested to see how you folks drive your cars at cruising or spirited driving. How do you manage fuel consumption?

I'll start off first. Monday through Thursday, I take a 20 minute/8 mile trip to school. I clearly want to prioritize maximum MPG. I put the shift intensity to the S2 mode, with S1 obviously being the lowest setting. It is early morning so I'm usually not in the mindset to be banging gears or getting kicked back in to my seat. DSC on, sport mode off. In automatic mode, shifting takes place at approximately 2.5k RPM all the way up to 6th gear, which leaves me crusing at 2k. I still only get 18.6 MPG, according to the cluster.

I usually drive s4/s5 dsc on and sport off and cluster says 21 and I actually do get 21. I drive about 30 miles a day combined city and highway

In all seriousness,

I drive in S3/S4 most of the time. DSC on, Sport off.

I use S5 on nice days when Im either out with friends/cruising around. DSC on (most of the time), Sport on.

I use S6, when im looking to get in trouble. i.e; drifting/donuts/burnouts/stupidstuffidotohumormyfriends DSC off, Sport on.

and I use S1/S2 in the winter when Im out and it snows, thats really about it.

S5. Let her warm up, get on the highway and drive it like I stole it.
Never really understood the idea of trying to get good fuel economy with a sports car.

I drive in S4 and average 23.3mpg (more highway than city)

I use S3 when it's raining.

To be honest, if the car was driven strictly on weekends, I wouldn't care about fuel economy. However, I drive this thing everyday and would like to make the most out of every drop of fuel.

If an 8mile trip takes you 20min then I am assuming its city driving in which case your mpg shouldnt be any better no matter how you drive. I have a 6mt and driving to work 50%hwy 50% streets I consistently average 19. I am not careful about fuel consumption but also not redlining every stopsign.

I'm almost always set on S4. Average around 22-23 MPG.
I don't drive all crazy most of the time, but I'm also not the one usually holding up traffic.
I only use non-ethanol fuel and that seems to help.

I hated auto mode. Shifting feels so slow. I always on s5 and use pedal or gear lever. Rarely redlining in the street. Usually shift at around 4k

Always s5, about 18.5-19.5 combined calculated using trip and gas receipt. Worst was 14.xx.

Most of the time , S2 for daily commute, spirited canyon runs, s4 or 5 , I throttle blip when I downshift and try to treat it like a manual as much as I can, only reason I purchased smg is because the availability was very limited for 6MT
