Question Whose LSB M3 is this???

Posted this on M3forums, doing it here as well.

Just picked this beautiful M3 from an insurance auto auction in Salt Lake City. Wanted to know if anyone knows any information on this car and possibly who it belonged to, maybe someone here on the forum???

its a 2004 model, 6spd with a black interior.

The car is currently on a truck coming over my way to Sacramento CA. Trying to get more information on the mods, service and just anything worth knowing.

here are some pics of the car taken by the insurance co.

Whose LSB M3 is this???

This is funny because I got my car from the same auction and mine is also lsb and I live In salt lake. I think the old owner of this car was actually a Girl? Someone told me there was another lsb m3 with a carbon fiber hood in slc so it could possible be her old one she wrecked? Idk for sure though I never talked to her!

Interesting. I looked closely at the interior pic and it looks like there is a partial cage installed. I wonder if a chick would be driving around with a cage??

That is ridiculous, I think she was just a rich white girl and had daddy pay for everything she thought was cool. I posted the car on the local bmw page and people are responding so ill tell you what they say.

Pretty tough finding an LSB on black. Looks like it needs quite a bit of work before she's back on the road, best of luck!

Well the car is here. I cant wait to get it up and running. Something about restoring that makes me feel good. It will need quite a bit of parts. So if anyone has anything front end let me know

Front parts are expensive so I hope you got it for below 6000, good luck though. Mine is also lsb on black but I painted it after I got it so idk if its that cool haha.

I was thinking the same thing, but more like > $5K. that's a lot of front impact damage and parts and fixing wont be inexpensive to just get it back. Add then it has a Salvage title and it gets tricky how much to pay when unable to visually inspect.
Good luck OP with your project and let us know how it turns out.

You could probably get a deal if you bought the hood/bumper assembly/headlights all from once source

Unfortunately it is almost impossible to get an M3 with this year and mileage (not even talking about the color) for less than 6K. I paid more and this is after few months of hunting down the right one. In in the end its worth it for me maybe not to someone else. Its not my first rodeo reviving a salvaged BMW. We have dismantlers in Sacramento (Luxury Auto Dism, Bavarian Auto Rec,etc) pick up rolled M3s for around 5K just for their engines and transmissions and whatever is left over. Car should cost me around 13K all together.
