Pulled the codes tonight as promised. I still have a P0172 and P0175. Will update when the flash tuner arrives.

For instance my 330Ci is a 2003 also, so most would think it's a MS45.1 . But its build date is 8 or 9 of 2002, this makes it a MS43 .
Build date is September 2003.

Question

Ive done around 4-5.000 kms since doing headers+200 cell Magnaflow cats and i got today for the second time in a month, a CEL for "catalyst eficience bank 1 & 2".. All 4 02 sensors are BOSCH new, i have them nearly 20.000 kms..
Do you have similar faults with your cats?

Yes. Your cats aren't big enough.

Thanks for the reply mate!

What cats do you have?

My cats are 200 cell metal cats Magnaflow (i think 55mm OD, the rest of the exhaust is stock diameter) and it just doesn't make sense cause ive done around 5K kms with no CEL at all and it showed up 2 times in a month now.. after 5K kms..?? I will check the 02 readings..

It's the cats. And "big enough" isn't technically the correct term. The computer compares the AFR of the second set of sensors to the AFR in the first. If the difference isn't within certain parameters, it throws a code.

Check out HJS cats.

Update - received my ECU back from VF with the new tune. They followed up with an email and phone call to see how I liked it and mentioned they spent a bit of time tweaking it based on the dyno.

I'll reinstall the ECU once I get my headlight back from Tekarbon, and the car is again road legal. I'm expecting to have it back June 10.

I also have a vf v2 kit in my zhp. I did the install myself. I got the kit used from a local memeber and watched his mechanic remove the kit from his car. Except I wasnt so sure about the hoses coming off the big VF plastic snokle. Its running ok and no CEL so I think I got the routing connection right. I am looking to install an oil catch can and delete the ccv. I am buring too much oil now. Have you looked at a can?
