You are subjecting my brain to extreme road abuse right now.

He was trying to say your statements make no sense. Is English 101 offered at your local community college? May do you good.

You mean to tell me there is no difference between a 2001 M3 with 30k miles and a 2006 M3 with identical miles given everything else (ie driving style of owner) is equal? The 2001 model sat through 20 more seasons than the 2006 model. Just think about that for a little bit. Like helmutm3 said, you have not owned a car long enough to learn the difference.

I got my AW/IR 6MT Coupe man, AW IS the color to get.

Although a supercharged ZCP IB coupe would be nice too...

How many miles on each by the way?

2001 m3 150k $10k, put $3k down financed the rest. Having graduated this year and now with a job, it's a gamble that worked out for me. What I can't decide is whether to mod this car, given how old/mileage, or save that money towards a newer m3 once i pay this one off.

I'll let you decide if I'm your definition of a reckless young hooligan. My driving record:
One speeding ticket ever. 80mph on the highway (65mph) with my first car.
Got rear-ended twice. Both times not at fault.
At fault once, i struck the curb in my E36 which was struck by a tow truck the next day and totaled as a combination of the two.
Incidentally I asked a buddy of mine how many speeding tickets he had. "Too many to count" was his response; clearly I'm doing something wrong in my twenties.

No worries dude, I'm 19 and I've never even been pulled over.

Illegal tint, nearly straight piped exhaust with EVC.

My insurance is still a ton $230/m

I pay 6 month premium, rather than monthly:
Mercury
With my first car, a 1994 Mx6 it was $409 for basic liability, california minimum.
My second car, 1999 E36 M3 it was $760 for full coverage with $2k deductible on collision and $1k deductible comp.
My third and current car, 2001 E46 M3, was quoted $1200 with mercury (because of total loss claim) so I switched to Geico, currently $950 with $500 deductible comp/coll.

Every 6 months I pull quotes from large car insurance companies to see if one has a better offer. Mercury used to be cheapest for me, now Geico is.

That's not too bad. I'm with GEICO as well, just turned 24 and have my own policy and pay $42/month for my ZHP with $0 comp & collision. No wreck/tickets. Granted I live in the Southeast compared to San Jose, so that may play a huge factor, but would insurance on an M really be $100+/mo more? How old are you?

23 and got my first M ZCP a little over a month ago for 25k with 64K miles. Put down 5k and financed the rest at 2% and pay extra each month. The same was for my zhp I traded in. Insurance only went up by ~$20 to 140 a month.

Is that $0 deductible or $0 coverage? Comparing insurance across locations is pretty meaningless. I'm 23 with one total which is why mine's a little higher, but I doubt anyone in my area has full coverage for less than $540 every 6 months.

You're paying $2520 a year (210x12months) against my $1900 a year ($950x2, semi-annual). You're definitely paying more than the rest of us

Its $0 deductible. I figured location played a big big role, esp. in an area like San Jose. I've owned quite a few cars over the past couple of years and GEICO always seemed to be the best priced. They always tell me I have a bit of a loyalty discount but who knows how much truth is behind that.

28, I bought my 2005 M3 back in August with under 51k miles (it had a few things done: supercharger, methanol, exhaust, wheels, etc...) and I financed it with a 2.9 interest rate. May have been more than what I wanted to pay for it, but I don't regret it since every time I drive it, the car puts a big smile on my face.
It currently has 53,600 miles...

Financed a little less than half at the age of 19

Quite literally on my last payment. So stoked to save 515 a month
