This was bound to happen from the idiots using their stores as a stage for open carry.

It's a request, not a rule.

Starbucks says we don't want your guns in our stores...

Well then we won't have a problem.

Exactly, a request. Curious to see how individual locations will handle it though.

I have no problem with this. I respect property rights, so they have every right to ask people. Their beef is with open carry. Concealed no one is going to know anyway. I don't see anything wrong with it, despite the fact that I don't agree with it.

I don't have a problem with it.

I think it went about it very professionally.

Keep in mind, that they are talking about open carry.

It is also a request, not a ban or a threat.

Would not affect CWL.

Agreed, I think they handled it as "civil" as possible. The CEO simply stated that they prefer that open carriers do not come into the store while OCing, but if they do, no one will say anything to you because he doesn't want his staff telling an armed person anything. I don't think it can be done any other way, or a better way.

My Ride: What else?
I don't even think they have an issue with OC per se...it's those who show up en masse and sit around showing off their guns, in order to make a political statement .

Open carry, IE true 2a. Conceal carry is granted by the government. If they aren't going to make a ban, why come out and state, we don't want your guns.

I wouldn't want a bunch of gun crazed people showing off trying to prove a point in my stores either.
There's a difference between open carrying and dancing around acting like its a show piece.

Who's dancing around showing off? No one is upholstering their gun showing it off. They are simply a bunch of like minded people meeting up for coffee. No different than when I used to meet 20-25 people at a chipotle because we all had BMWs. There were probably more loose screws in the BMW guys than the open carriers that meet up.
