CCW....car guns...what would be yours choice from mine?

Para Slim Hawg 1911 45, Glock 27 40 cal or Beretta Nano 9mm. All have extended mags, Para and Beretta have no night sights.
Para is nice, but the accuracy is OK. Glock 27 with night sights is dead on. Have not shot the Beretta Nano yet but feels so good in my hands, slim and night sights on the way. Normally my Glock 27 with plus mag is my carry gun...goes in the car fine....what would you guys vote for? 45, 40 or 9mm.....curious. Since I have 3, the Glock 27 is my normal carry. Just wondering if I should keep the extra 9mm Nano or Para in the Jaguar winter car. My Glock 27 with mods and laser guide rod is something I would not want to leave in the car so thinking either the Beretta or Para might be a good one to leave in the vehicle. Not sure what you guys think about leaving a weapon in a car.

Para if you want one in the chamber.

Glock if you don't.

JMO.

I keep a G26 in my console without one in the chamber but I carry also.

My Ride: What else?
Why would you carry anything other than the weapon you're most accurate with?

Thanks, I was thinking about that also. I never carry a hot round in the G27.

Backup and something I would not cry over if someone broke into the vehicle. I shoot every week at least 300 rounds with most of my weapons but have some I prefer. The G27 is my normal carry and is like a tack driver....but I can pretty much shoot very well with anything I own. Funny thing, the handgun I am most accurate with is a Beretta 92FS with comp. Probably because it was my military duty weapon...the M9. Just not a carry option for me.

Glocks are safer to have one in the chamber

To each their own.

If a kid broke in the car, if someone borrowed your car, etc.

Since I bought my G27, I can count on one hand the number of days I have NOT had a round in the chamber of it.

Do you leave your gun in your car with one in the chamber?

The glock is still safer and I'm a 1911 guy....

If I did anymore I would, I used to but I don't even want to loose a cheapo so nothing of value is kept in the car. I keep a nighthawk or Wilson with me at work along with my colt 11.5. The pistols always have one in the chamber but the colt doesn't because I use it to demonstrate suppressors.

HMM.. G27 with a round in the chamber is my vote.

Not trying to call you guys out but I hope you do rack drills and realize that .5 seconds may be all you have. Not to mention that if you end up in a shootout bullets are coming your way and a decent chance of getting hit. I dunno if I'd trust my ability to rack a pistol with a bullet in my shoulder or worse.

You could drag that G27 with a round in the chamber behind your car for 100 miles and it wouldn't go off. I could understand about lending out your car but you shouldn't leave it in there anyway.

My car gun is my CCW.

I understand where you are coming from...

But my carry gun is not my car gun.

Yes, I carry two guns to my car every day. One on me and one for my console. My carry gun (HK P2000 or S&W 638) is ready to be fired. My console gun isn't.

Choices are what makes America great.

Yes. When I'm not driving or it's not on me, it's in a lockbox attached underneath a seat.

I have to say, shot the Beretta Nano 9mm today with the 6 and 8 round mags, it was pretty awesome for a small gun. I really love this thing. Probably will not replace my G27 but really love this gun!!!!!! For what it is, accurate as hell!!! Really not much recoil for the small size doing double taps either. I was impressed.

Shot one and thought it was very similar to the PF9 and expected a better trigger since it looks like a glock trigger.. Was hugely disappointed.

How come every time a gun gets small they have to put a damn revolver trigger or 12lb DAO trigger in them. Stupid little guns are hard enough to shoot at it is.

I hated my trigger in my P3AT until about 1000 rounds I noticed it start to smooth out and get a bit lighter. I dry fired the crap out of that thing on the couch for weeks afterwards and its nice now .

Assuming you don't mean in the trunk...

I have a BlackHawk SERPA carbon fiber holster mounted underneath my seat that fits any of my Sig 226's, usually keep an Elite 357SIG there.
