Interesting to see the turbos are made by Mitsubishi (of EVO fame).

Not bad.

The only reservation I have is, how will it sound?

You'd be surprised how many companies (particularly Japanese ones) are diverse in manufacturing.components.

Mitsubishi, don't just build cars, they are also an automotive supplier, manufacture heating and cooling systems, also serve the mining industry etc.

Mitsubishi turbo's not as weird as e46 GM automatic transmissions.

Yes, very true. Same with Honda, eg marine motors, garden mowers, etc.

Yeh it's hard to beat the orchestra of the current M3, it's just awesome. Gets the blood pumping no matter how often you drive the thing.

Based Greg Kable's Drive article published on Wednesday the sound in the M4 is very underwhelming though the M engineers did say there are some notable changes in the final production version so watch this space. Still, I can't imagine a twin turbo 6 sounding anywhere near as exciting as the 4L V8 or the induction bliss from the 3.2L in-line six.

The 1M sounds like a small truck with a hole in it's exhaust.

No thanks.

Yeh even with the Akra on it, not a fan either. Certainly warming to the idea of having an Akra on my M3 though!

Well guess I'm in the minority then because I'd take the 1M in a heartbeat. Love the spool combined with the Akrapovic!
