I know that the side exhausts look cool, but doesn't it compromise chassis stiffness to cut sections out of the box-sectioned frame "rails" in order to make room for side exhausts?

Exactly what I was saying. There are ways to stiffen it without a doubt, but it does look like it would compromise the rigidity. Can we see from the inside?

Teaser pics from last weekend's Shift S3ctor Airstrip Attack.

Before the decals were put on

***The 2x4 pictured holding up the hood, was unfortunately our only option after Kalon lost the aluminum rod we had put in the truck when he left the shop***

Awesome engine, awesome car. The only thing I would have done differently is to run the exhaust out the back. The side exhaust is cool, but I think it's a shame to butcher the body and compromise the rigidity so much for it.

Outside view of the M3 doing it's first test run at the Shift S3ctor Airstrip event. Kalon was soft shifting early in each gear since it's a fresh motor.

I might be nit-picking an otherwise amazing build, but why is the bumper hanging off on both sides? Just no time to adjust it properly?

It got yanked off taking it off the trailer at the event. This was the best we could do to secure it on the spot. The event was in the middle of no where...

Friday we made a quick, but very sturdy harness bar for the M3, since Kalon had a track day on Saturday.

We also swapped wheels, tires, and had fun with the wheel color :thumbsup2:

The 275 NT05s made traction a huge problem at Big Willow on Saturday, thank God Kalon loves to drift!

Sadly I couldn't experience the M3 at the track on Saturday because we had a booth at the SoCal Vintage BMW Show, but I heard Kalon put on quite the drift show with the car!

Custom fender flares, wider wheels, 315s and a 3.15 LSD coming soon to aid the traction issues!
