Soft top not locking properly

I have an issue with the top not locking all the way with the windshield on the passenger side, thus leaving a bit of an air pocket. Water gets in when it rains and it also rattles against the windshield and windows quite a bit when I go over bumps. Has anyone had these issues and if so, what is the solution. The drivers side closes just fine. Thanks guys

The passenger latch is probably broken. Address this asap as if the drivers lock breaks when the top is closed you'll have to cut the cover to access the latches.

There's a bunch of recent threads about broken latches, search.

thanks Taylor. It took me a while to find threads that referred specifically to the latches that connect to the windshield vs. the rear compartment. It looks like step #1 for me would be to see if I can lock it via the torx screw by the mirror. Will try that now.

Windshield latch

Mine are closed but not on the windshield, any ideas how to open them?

Please read what Taylor wrote again. If you lock it down manually there is a chance you won't be able to open it again and you'll have to cut up your car like I did.

Open the top and remove the plastic piece that's covering the motor and both latches. Address the issue with the latch, and then close it up.

Yes, I figured that out upon reading more threads. It looks like I will need to replace the whole latch assembly. this particular task is outside of my domain so I am fully prepared to take it up the @$$ prison style and bring it to the dealer. I was quoted $450 for the part and $150 for labor
