Users Manual for phone

Any idea where I can get a users manual for a bluetooth paired phone for a 2006 330 CI. I've paired the phone, it works through the radio speakers but only seems to use voice recognition or my phone book to make calls. The signt I've found contain only the standard owners manual and the radio only owners manual but nothing for the phone

I don't have a 2006, but a 2004 Manual in the car and a PDF copy. I do this with any PD manual because things are easy to find... Open the manual on your computer .. In the search section - type "phone" This will take you to page 21. (using 2004 325ci Manual)

From what I'm seeing it shows how to scroll through phone using the steering wheel control. Then in the middle of the page, it takes about the Radio controls then switches back to the Phone Control. Basically it explains that you can the Forward and Back Buttons to control the CD player or Change Radio Station or Scan through Personal Phone.

You can search for a 2005 Manual. I'm assuming they would be the same. Info on p.21

My first bimmer that I bought I was signed up on BWM owners circle. My current bimmer I add that one too. There you can enter the vin number of your car to retrieve the manual.

Manual help

Thanks, my 2006 manual contains the same information. I just wanted to know if there were any additional phone features that were not included in the basic owners manual. The 2006 sedan I owned, with a different radio had a separate manual for the phone operation.

I'm not sure. Looks like that's about it. I do know there are some features that aren't listed in the manual. For example, you can turn on the car radio without using the key (turning the car on).

There is a list of hidden features listed on the web. http://www.sal-e.net/node/147

I'm probably just tired, but how else could you make calls other than via the voice reco or the phone book once paired ? Here's what I do...
I press the R/T button.
I page up or down withsteering wheel buttons until I find the one I want and press the "shouting man" button.

I'm wondering what other way (other than voice reco which I have never found worked really well for anything other than "Call Home") you could make a call....

Thanks for the info. PS. Do you have an updated ULF ?

thanks. The reason I asked was because my 2006 E90 Sedan allowed punching in a phone number with the key pad (it had more presets -allowing the use of 0 to 9). I've since confirmed that voice recognition is the only way other than the phone book
