Smile Good to be onboard in this Forum

I recently purchased a 2001 BMW 325Ci Convertible from a gentleman approx. 850 miles away from my home location. I trusted that all mechanical aspects of the vehicle were in working order as that is what I was told.
When I received the vehicle (shipped on a flatbed truck), the convertible top would not retract. Upon having this problem diagnosed at the local BMW dealer, it has been identified that I have a leak in the driver side tensioner cylinder. Very disappointed to not being able to use the convertible top, however very pleased to read on this forum of some steps to repair this problem that does not appear to be too costly.
Thanks for a great forum of information and look forward to spending time learning from many of you.
