I have not added MS43 support into BMWFlash at this point. Will consider.

What I really want to know is if the MS43 has a similar pseudo counter flash limit like the MSS54

Thanks, That would surely help.

Well, right now i haven´t found a way to download the whole 512kb without unsoldering the 29F400, so its no problem to flash a virginized file and start by zero. using a tool to read/write the 64kb file is no problem at all, there is no limit, except one from the tool itself if it has a limit. kwp2000+ doesn´t.

I think BMW scanner 1.4 can be used to take a full read. Ideally I would like a better solution i.e BMWflash to do this with instead.

http://www.bmw-scanner.com/download/...n_140_demo.zip

IIRC the demo version has this capability.

You need a very solid battery charger when using scanner and it will read it in big endian or little endian, can´t remember right now. its twisted to a direct eprom read-out.

Same way as in the MSS54 then.

In for results.

If we can get the ZHP to run the MS43 EU2 with headers and CEL to work KO,EO. And then tune it from there, we could have a solution to ZHPs and headers, with out having to pay for a tune.

Well no dice on triggering the monitors to ready after turning on EOBD.

Will zero out the individual codes on the DME next.

So you're talking about using a different DME on ZHP? Just make a thread for MS45...

No...I'm clearly talking about using swapping the MS45.1 for MS43. My post is relavent to this thread. Thanks for your concerns.

Yeah...I've already tried and failed with the MS42 > MS43 swap...hopefully this will be a little easier and more effective.

Set C_DTC_CAT_DIAG and C_DTC_CAT_EFF located at 0x178 - 0x197 to zero in efforts to set monitors to ready as in MSS54. Will report back

EDIT: also noticed that value C_CONF_CAN_CAL is set to 03 on EU3 Where as in EU2 it is set to 02.

I'll set this to 03 as well.

Both EU3 and EU2 have C_CONF_SAP set to 00. I need to check this address on a US or EU4 tune to confirm if this needs to be zero'd out for the monitor to be ready/unsupported.

Confirmed.

C_CONF_SAP is set to 01 on US tune, 00 on EU3/EU4 and EU2.

C_CONF_CAT is set to 00 on all tunes. which may mean set default to not ready. 01 may set it to ready if it's the address for the catalytic monitors.

how to find them? are they located similar to mss54? if so i haven´t found them earlier

Swapping ms45 to ms43 is more difficult than ms42 to ms43. You're better off tuning the ms45.1. Ms45.1 is the better ECU anyway

This is correct. MS45.1 even has a option for SPORT switch like mss54 does. It also has fuel pump module that is stand alone and it gets data from the engine via CAN. I managed to code it for sport switch and code it for regular fuel pump relay for E30 swap. I run it and it is great system.

Re: Comprehensive MS43 DME Information

Can you properly disable rear oxygen sensors for headers? That's my biggest goal for this car after it gets all the cosmetic damage repaired. I've been sitting on a pair of headers for almost a year...they were gonna go on the 328i...but that never happened

Still in regarding advancement in self tuning. Jorge is closest to me so it wouldn't be a bad idea to meet up with him and see what we can do.

Just thinking aloud...don't mind me
