If the Government continues to borrow significantly more than they spend, we will eventually be degraded so far that we will not be able to borrow anymore.

If you think that is impossible and that fiscal responsibility is irrelevant at the macro level, I feel bad for you.

Republicans can't fathom passing another budget that doesn't eliminate at least some waste. The democrats refused to come to the table and do ANY trimming forcing another pile of debt and inefficiency down our throats.

Media sold the Republican approach as strictly tied to Obamacare.

You should call your credit card company and insist that they raise your debt limit, because increasing it would not incur more debt on you, but help you spend your way out of debt.

Media? Media who?

Is there any evidence to support this?

I didn't say that government debt cannot become too high or that fiscal responsibility should be ignored by the government. I said that anyone who thinks that government revenue and spending can be accurately compared to a household budget is not intelligent enough to discuss the issue of government spending and debt. There is a significant difference...

He's got 99 problems, but comparing government revenue and spending to a household budget ain't one. If you've got problems comparing government revenue and spending to a household budget, he feels bad for you, son!

Now ask him about tax brackets!

Have you not noticed that it is frequently cited that 'republicans fail to stop Obamacare'?

When in reality, the republicans failed to force the democrats to the table to discuss the other million lines items of filth that need to leaned up.

I see lots of evidence and even lots of Republicans criticizing their own for being hellbent on defunding Obamacare to the point of doing damage to their own party.

If Obamacare wasn't the issue, why didn't Republicans say so?
