I think it looks pretty cool, also extremely powerful. To bad it's not in most peoples budget range for a new computer.

I'm about to pull the gun on the new dell M3800 for mobile solidworks'ing, which is effectively an xps 15 with a kepler/Quadro K1100M, but if a new MBP ups the anty on the graphics card front and overall performance, I could go for one of those in addition to the new Mac Pro.

We bought 2 HP Z820's in the studio to keep up with the workload, but the new Mac Pro is on the list and the moment they are available we are getting 2.

Only concern I have, a lot of my workflow is based on CUDA, that's a nono, with the new MP

i didn't mean released i meant revealed.
The whole exciting point of a keynote is NEW product not stuff we already know about.

Is that for GPU computing? Because AMD's new GCN chips absolutely wreck what Nvidia has to offer. Or are you pretty tied to cuda coding and can't easily make the switch to openCL? (what seems to be the case for most folks).

It's not BS. they announce a media event typically centered a week long clinic of products and other things.

And for all those who hate apple, Google, Microsoft and many other companies do this as well, as lately as this past year.

Apple TV will de delayed, new iPad and new Laptops, Mavericks will get 5 minutes tops concerning price, and possibly we will see some Mac Pro coverage.

No watch. No self respecting person will wear a watch, that connects to their phone so they can look at their digital watch and then look at their phone for exactly the same thing. Take that halloween commercial with the starwars themed stuff in it. The damn kid is holding his phone in the same hand as the watch. It is not the costume that makes him look like a tool.

Why put a clock and alarm on a phone when its been the main concept of a watch for quite a while... Because people like more things that do more things that do the things their other things do.

Ok. Glad to see you are getting the new phone watch. Hope it works well for you. I'll just pull my phone out to read the text, or answer the call. No need to go all Dick Tracy on it.

Care to explain? How does an iPhone have training wheels? Because you can't customize it all to hell and back?

It doesn't even have a proper file system and it looks like windows 3.2.

What is a proper filing system to you? I guess you feel OSX doesn't have a proper filing system either?
