As for Metro, and the color scheme, I agree to a point, but iOS needed a change. I like the clean feel to everything, but the pastels are annoying. I wish it was more "industrial" in feel and look, but it would turn off the 40 somethings with carbon fiber and metal, not to mention canadians, who just need a little color in their lives.
why not have a choice of "skins"?

I saw the "QuickTime - free download" button on the stream web page and it brought back old memories

I agree. There could have been a better way to make everyone happy, but that is not the apple way. They make something, and you either deal with it, or don't buy it.

Personally, it doesn't bother me as much as I thought, and the phone is fast as hell too.

Yea exactly, lol thats why i never felt the need to upgrade to the retina, plus you get less hardware for more $.

Sorry, but you must be losing your eyesight. I own a 30 Cinema display, the largest most pixel packed screen apple made up until the Retina display Macbook Pro. Running at the highest resolution, the MBP has more pixels in the 15" form than my 30" display has. Side by side it is pretty easy to see. Both are running at 2.5K, with the MBP edging the display out by a few hundred more.

It is not scam. Using it for 3d modeling, or photo/video editing and you will see a difference.
For the everyday user, it is. How old is your 30" cinema? There will always be the exception to the rule of those who can utilize it. But the way they market it for day to day users, sorry but it is a scam. They came out with an HD display for the MBP, and then proceeded to make it Retina. Comparing apples to apples with the HD MBP and the Retina MBP, the avg user will never notice a difference. Now if you compare it to an old white regular macbook, of course its night and day. The thing I hated the most is the lower speed processor you get for more $ and the fact you cannot upgrade the RAM since its soldered into the board.

Don't get me wrong, I love apple products but I see how they market and it makes me sick.

Why can't they just push this thing into a Google+ Hangout?

That's what you'd think... I guess it's not worth it to them.

Because it's owned by Google, and they'd rather not infect their event by running it through Google-owned servers. Their ego is too big for that. I mean, Siri uses bing search now They're more dramatic than Kim Kardashian.

Well I was planning on watching or at least listening to it at work when I heard they were streaming it. Guess not though.

OSX runs on the mach kernel and is based on BSD
Linux is based on a different Unix flavor.

Yes, I do a lot of raytracing in After Effects nowadays (it's a serious timesaver) and that's totally dependent on CUDA. We'll see where it goes tho, the new FirePro GPU's are indeelde amazing. Guess I have to split up my work on two machines, being in charge of post production kinda gives me the advantage of choosing whatever station I want

I can see that! iPhone 8 with TWO fingerprint scanners! For double the security! All the other guys only have one! This is the biggest thing since the original iPhone!

Just like 3.5" was the perfect size for a phone and any bigger was too big?

I hear the new products will have technologies, features, and apps built right into them!

That is REVOLUTIONARY!
