not really but you get my point.
kids can play all they want but they need to understand a basic command.
13 year old kid gets gun pointed at him by two grown men... maybe the kid froze in fear? Have you ever had a gun pointed at you? THIRTEEN year old kid... think about that for a second.

And who said he pointed it at the officers? If he pointed it at the officers, I can understand their need to fire... but to commend them for killing a 13 year old kid? That takes more idiocy than carrying a fake weapon in public. I'm sure the officers aren't happy with the decision they had to make... I know I would be offended if I was commended for killing a child.

Father told his kid to "behave himself" before he left for work... maybe he shouldn't have bought him a replica AK-47. Now that is pretty stupid as well.

My friend's brother was shot and killed by a drunk undercover cop in Queens while holding a replica gun and trying to "break up a fight".

If I had seen the picture of the gun in the news article without knowing it was a fake, I can easily see myself thinking it was real. Where do kids get replica guns like that, anyway?

In any event: it's a really unfortunate situation. But the article gives so little information that it's impossible to say anything more than that.

look at this thread! How can you say it's impossible to say anything? Wild speculation is always in season
