I dont think its billions. I think more in the millions category.
Though I could be wrong. It's the first year of their release of a brand new os and device. Of course it will take time to catch on and for them to gain a market share once again. As I'm sure apple went thought the same situation before everyone became an isheep when the Iphone first came out and Blackberry was king.
They do have an inventory hold up but are still positive in cash in pocket with no debt.
Yes they have taken losses as any company would when they reinvent themselves and catch up with the latest tech.

I've had and used all devices except the new windows phone. And Blackberry new BB10 os and devices blow the others out of the water in my own opinion.

Their legacy devices(pre BB10) were outdated yes.(owned a 9930 before upgrading to a Q10) But no longer is that the issue.
The new os is damn near flawless and they are decently quick with updates for fixing glitches.

Perhaps you should stop responding. It's a no-win for you here. :dunno:

Just $1B

I've only had one Blackberry, the 8900, and it was garbage. The new Z10 might be good, but I can't imagine it's better than a jailbroken iphone or Android.

Rumor has it though that the Z10's are going to see a price drop to $99 w/contract.The idea is to get people back from apple and android with this.
And use it as an entry line phone instead of a flagship phone. Since the new Z30 is the new flagship touch device when it see's full launch.
Like I said a rumor.

It does pretty much everything a jailbroken iphone/rooted droid does out of the box without jailbreaking/rooting it.

BB10 can sideload some droid apps and run them in a stable fashion for the most part.
With the next 10.2 os update you'll be able to run almost any droid app out there.

I mean, honestly. Could BBM be more obsolete? It's about as obsolete as the Blackberry itself.

That is true.. But the cross platform side is new for BBM.. It'll be interesting to see how whatsapp handles it

Seriously? Why do people want to use an app to communicate and why would you just randomly want some people from the internet to BBM you?
