I know in some markets its been around for a while but just seems like you are going to piss of a giant enthusiast base.
"BMW M Performance mechanical limited-slip differential available as retrofit option"

This ain't gonna piss off a giant enthusiast base...

M 235i - It's here! Thoughts?

228i + Msport + PPK will be pretty sweet but the M235i +LSD + a tune will be a beast.

$33k so $25-$28k one year old.
Wait until the full option/spec list comes out. The m235 has lots of features standard that will be optional on the 228. Similarly equipped, the difference will likely be 1/3 of that $11k figure.

It's with an inch or so of the e46 and e36. If anyone is looking for something to replace their current ride, this is it.

I love it, relatively lightweight for a new car, great power, and I like the styling. A more aggressive rear diffuser would look great, but other than that, I've found my next car. Hopefully we will be able to get a lsd at a reasonable price from BMW performance like is available for the euro 1 series.

At the end of the day, you gotta thank bmw for still offering the manuals. That is for sure.

That must just be the stock image or something. It has the N55 Motor, so definitely will be high revving. I believe the LSD was an option, according to someone earlier in this thread, no?

Also, interesting, as we are definitely seeing higher efficiency from automatics nowadays.

Side profile isn't bad actually.

Front is fugly as hell. Swoopy doopy lines, ugly gray plastic, and ridiculous hood creases makes it look tall and bloated. Reminds me of a Nissan Juke.

That new 4 cyl is boring as hell too.

How is a 240hp engine that sends the car from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds in any way "boring?"

Lsd likely won't be an option but hopefully available as a BMW performance part. Obviously that means it won't be cheap either as you are buying an entire differential.
