I don't dwell on the past and think what if, all that does is cause depression IMO. What's done is done.

Not being more confident with girls in high school and college.

Confidence is 99%. I knew very normal looking guys who dated a ton of good looking women, based solely on attitude.

I'm thrilled I met my wife in college, but that meant I never really got to live the single life, which I think would be a lot of fun.

Although everything has lead me to where I am today, and pretty damn content currently, my list would probably consist of the following so far:

Being in serious (long duration) relationships through HS and college
Being unfaithful in previous relationships versus just ending it
Not working harder and continuing with baseball
Spending money to mod a car Fast and Furious style, lambo doors and all

No I don't act like they never happened. I make mistakes and learn from them and move on. I don't look back wishing I did stuff differently all the time if that helps you understand what I'm getting at. I try to worry more about the future than the past.

Aren't you like 16, though? Not much time for you to have racked up honest regrets.

At your age what could you possibly regret? Not getting that BJ from Mary Jane Rottencrotch in sophmore year?

In any event, I don't think the people who posted about regrets are sitting there dwelling daily on the regret....it's just a simple question, not a life consuming mistake, lol.

I never took school seriously in the sense that I could actually be making myself into something instead of just getting by.

I'm doing just fine right now, but I think I could've done some great things in high school and especially college.

I literally would do the work and study just to get to the next step. I never put any passion towards any of it sadly.

i really wish i'd taken on (and stuck with) a productive hobby when i was younger. even if it didn't pan out into some sort of interesting career (art, sports, music, etc), i'd have something more interesting to say than "i like tv, movies, video games, and i'm a fan of whatever sports team"

This. Accept your past so that you can continue with the future. Don't let things in the past hold you down.

Good thread idea.

I regret getting an Econ. degree. It's gotten me a monotonous desk job which depresses me more each day. Granted, its my first job out of school, but I don't like where this is going. Enrolling in school for engineering ASAP, though it will be costly and time consuming, we're talking about the next 40 years of my life.

Saving while young looks like a trend. I should take note, but its so hard when you're just starting out. So much to buy.

Wishing that I studied in high school the way that I do now.

Who knows how many full scholarships I would have received. Lol oh well, too late for regrets now.

it's funny, when i was in high school, i worked hard relative to other high school students. then in college, i worked hard relative to most college students. i did the same in law school, and now i do the same as a young professional. the amount of hard work increased at every stage in my life, yet i always thought i was working as hard as i thought i could during each stage.

if i could go back in time and tell 15-year old mike larry how much harder he could've worked, i might have a nobel prize by now

If I could go back and do it all over again, I'd go to RMC (the Royal Military College in Canada- kind of like our West Point), travel the world on the taxpayer's dime for 25 years, retire at 43, then do some consulting, and spend my summer weekends at the racetrack on an S1000RR.

What life choices do you regret?

Not investing in bitcoin at $15 before the $260 increase and drop off.
