My Ride: 2001 M3 Coupe
Aux Input 2001 E46 M3 w/ NAV 4:3

Hello,

I have been searching and have been unable to get a good understanding of what my options are. Just for kicks I got a tape with an aux input from the apple store but it sounds mono and not very good.

Any info is much appreciated.

Regards,
Loay

I'm not 100% sure, but I think adding the aux input is for head units 2004 and above. I have an 01 also and I think our only options are the Dice kit, which I've never used but read hit and miss reviews, and aftermarket radios. I went with the latter (and by me, I mean the previous owner of the car...)

Or buy a head unit from a 2004+ vehicle. Usually in the for sale section. Again, I'm not 100% sure on the year but I do know 2001 it is not possible to just add the aux input

I just want to get direct confirmation as to whether or not your cable works with the 4:3 Navigation system - yes, no?
