Bypass system

So i just purchased another E46 this one i intend to turn full race car. The only problem is i bought it as a non-runner, usually no big deal but its a non-runner cause it doesn't have a key. Whats the best way to put in a push button switch so i can see if it starts? or have it running? Even though i have the title i don't want to waste money on a key since i will end up never needing it.

Car info: its a 2000 E46 328i

The key was lost by the person, i took apart the ignition switch and got it to the point where the dash lights up and everything works the only part i can find is the starter pin. For some reason i can find a diagram of the switch and bmw refuses to give it to me.

the ews wont allow you to go farther than that its the same deal if the chip in the keys dies. you could try to code a key with an AK90 and then use a program like Winkfp to align the EWS (immobilizer).

Is removing the EWS module a option and just throwing it out?

Needs to be coded out. The only people who know how to do it on the MS42 and MS43 charge like $1k

So i took the shortcut method for now, i bought a valet key from the stealership for $43.50. So i can at least move it later today and run it till i find the best way to strip her down. Now to make a build thread and a parts for sale thread.

What series will you run this in? I am also currently converting my e46 to a racecar. NASA Performance Touring is where I will be.
