I need people to answer this ?

So I noticed the other day that when I turn off my car, my hand brake light stays on for a second, then goes out.
So the question is: does your light go out immediately? What could mine be indicating? If anything

Re: I need people to answer this ?

Well I just used my handbrake to stop from 20mph. It took forever to stop. Maybe that light is telling me I need to adjust my brake. But it feels tight from inside my car

+1 Check the brake fluid level. If I recall correctly, didn't you recently have the pads replaced? When the pads were replaced, some brake would have needed to be removed if it had been topped off at some point to avoid overflowing with the new pads.

Re: I need people to answer this ?

Yes pads were done recently. Brake fluid is a max line. Thats not it. Noticed this after my alternator install. Voltage has thoroughly neen xhecked and everything is correct.

Bump

Ok so if I turn off my car without the handbrake engaged, my yellow abs light stays on for a second then goes off.
