E46 xi Power Steering Pump?

My power steering pump doesn't work like it used to so I've been thinking of putting in a new one. Does anyone know is there any difference between a pump for a standard E46 and a E46xi? Is installation the same? Thanks for your help!

2005 325i has a LUK LF-20
2002 325xi has a LUK LF-30

This, according to realoem.com

I don't know anything about the interchangeability.

Why would you check two different model years for parts? Also, given they have the same pulley, mounting brackets, reservoir, and hoses, my guess is that it doesn't matter.

Thanks SamDoe1, I wasn't clear. Here's more info.

This video, by BMP Designs, says that the LF20 version had problems and the the LF30 was a heavier-duty and more reliable pump.

Both pumps have been used on the E46. I wanted to tell the OP to not replace his with a LF20.
