This week I started 2 things on Touring:
- fit sport seats
- fit M3 coupe mirrors

Fit the sport seats in the Touring:

Rails mounted:

But when I opened the attached package, I realised, that it contains only the rails. The seat subframes were missing.

Nevertheless I tried in the car:

I put the another one in the backseat, but there is definitely not enough space for it...:

Fit M3 power folding mirrors on Touring.

First dismount the mirror, and use only the mirror base, not to hurt the other parts while cutting:

Taping the shafts, leaving 3.2mm from the end:

Now the mirror base. First tape the longest side, leave 3.2-4mm on the door side (maybe easier to follow the curve while masking if marked in more position):

Now the vertical side. From long side marking (3.2-4mm) down. At 74mm should run out:

Signed with marker to see how much should I cut
.

Well, I didn't taped fine everywhere, but doesn't matter!

I had no time to cut, but continue from here soon...

From St. Albans, GB.
I bought them in advance, and they came home with the donor cars.

Little step forward on the M3 mirrors...
The another mirror base had been masked, then both side was cutted:

I was a little afraid on I will screw the grinding, but finally I finished within 10 minutes...
It was even faster then masking.

Now I have only put them on the Touring.

Although the donor Touring is not available yet here, I will try them on my 318d Touring next week somewhen.

Looks like quite the project, sub'd.

Also, I noticed both cars are RHD, isn't Hungary LHD?

Thanks
You are right, Hungary is LHD. The cars are still RHD, but we will overhaul them to LHD.
Easy to buy here complete LHD sets (dash, trims, center arm rest, interior wiring loom, etc.) for RHD E46.

I spent today also a half an hour on the car. Continue fit the mirror to the 318d:

Dismount the door panel and the tweeter cover:

Disconnent the mirror:

Take down the mirror:

From outside:

Unfortunately the coupe mirror not fit correctly, so have to cut the plate like this:

Also I had to correct the mirror base on the bottom side to fit well, but not much...

This is how it looks. Fixed only with tape yet:

Even the colour is almost match...

Continue with marking for drilling ang fixing the mirror base to the door...

First hole drilled. Not so bad:

Than the another:

Mounted the mirror on the car. I don't understand, but the another screw is too short somehow, so I have to buy a little longer.

The driver side mirror is my current M3 look aftermarket mirror, and the passanger side mirror is the OEM M3 coupe mirror. Not much difference!

Now I just have to do this on the donor Touring...
