Perhaps you should stop responding. It's a no-win for you here. :dunno:

RIP Paul Walker

Good to hear he wasn't driving. That section is pretty notorious for accidents

As a guy with a The Fast and the Furious movie poster on his wall, this makes me sad.

He was the only actor I would ever want to meet, and now he's gone. RIP. See you when I see you.

RIP He'll be missed for sure.

I think i need to go for a drive and/or marathon watch the Fast n Furious Movies.

I think i speak for alot of people when i say that Paul Walker along with the Fast n Furious movies helped to build up and/or rebuild a pride in car culture. No matter if it was import, Euro and something else i believe his spirit and love of cars outside of movies spoke to who he was as a person. I can partially say him and the movies are partially responsible for where i am as a car person today

You don't buy a CGT if you plan to live long, they call it the widow-maker.

I'm curious to hear what happened. That looks like it'd take a hell of a lot of kinetic energy to break a Carrera in half like that. There's no way they weren't travelling at a high rate of speed. Right?

RIP Paul! F&F got me into modding cars, and made me into the enthusiast I am today.

Agreed, maybe not proud of the movie itself but it definitely brought car culture into the foreground and made it cooler. And gave us a lot of jokes too...

Yeah probably doing 90+, but so? I'm not sure I get all the questions about "was he traveling fast?" Of course he was driving fast, just look at the damage. But as much as I'd like to think I'd be tame behind the wheel of a CGT while taking a friend for a ride....yeah right. I'd rev it out through a couple gears just to hear that V10 wail; and top of 3rd is probably what, 120? It is a knife edge car and sucks that both him and the driver had a stroke of bad luck.

I've never heard it called the widow-maker, but it has a reputation as an incredibly hard car to drive. It breaks the rear easily, has snap oversteer, and you can't even get on the gas when you roll away from a stop or you will burn the clutch. You just let the clutch out gradually.

Jay Leno spun one at 100 mph + on a racetrack. At least 2 complete revolutions IIRC.

BTW, I'm awful: http://i.imgur.com/8KJQuaU.gif

The porsche carrera GT is one deadly vehicle. It's killed a lot of people! Just looking at the jeremy clarkson review of that car, and you'll clearly see it is very difficult to control.

Re: RIP Paul Walker

Sucks to hear, great guy. From a guy who watches one of the movies every month this makes me pretty sad. I will be mad if they continue the series. One of the few actors I really liked. Rest in peace Paul.
